About First Town Days

Beyond all the fun and excitement that the First Town Days Festival brings to our community, their are other purposes that we serve. The First Town Days Festival Committee works and exists to support various projects at our beautiful festival venue, Tuscora Park. This year we are looking forward to add a "Walkathon" (Details to be announced soon!) to help raise funds for a new playground addition at Tuscora.

In addition to raising funds to support park projects, First Town Days also takes pride in sponsoring a number of direct Scholarships each year.  These awards, known as the Al Maloney Scholarships, are awarded to graduates of our local Tuscarawas County High Schools. We are pleased to announce that our scholarship program will continue to be directly and very generously supported by New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445.

Last but not least, First Town Days has over the past three years included a "venue" simply known as our "Community Outreach Tent" offering space at no cost to a number of organizations providing services to the good and well being of the citizens of our community as a whole. While enjoying the festival, please stop and visit these various organizations for more information on the services each of them offers.

We strive to support and promote Tuscora Park and to promote a sense of community for the citizens of the City of New Philadelphia and Tuscarawas County as a whole. And of course...to also have fun doing it.
